Second trimester pregnancy is known as the best stage of the pregnancy calendar; a time that is free of exhaustion and nausea. It is the first trimester pregnancy that can be the most difficult. It is not true that women need to eat for two when they are pregnant, since this result in excess weight gain pregnancy.

First trimester pregnancy is the early stage of pregnancy from conception to 12 weeks gestation, or about 14 weeks from the first day of the last normal menstrual period. A pregnancy begins with conception, when a sperm from a fertile male joins with an ovum of a fertile female. Any fertile female engaged in a sexual relationship with a fertile male is at risk of becoming pregnant.

First trimester pregnancy is completed and the physician should be able to hear the baby’s heartbeat around this time. Women will start to notice themselves gaining more weight during the second trimester in pregnancy and around the 16th to 20th week baby movement may be felt. For women who have routinely exercised during the first two trimesters, third trimester exercise will most likely be fine. Once the first trimester pregnancy and second trimester pregnancy are past, it will be with great anticipation for a couple to enter into the third trimester of pregnancy.

Women in the first trimester pregnancy should have proper nutrition rich in minerals and vitamins. Your diet should have at least 0.4 milligrams of folic acid or Vitamin C. A vitamin rich diet helps the fetus grow normally.

Most of the women are confused about the average weight gain pregnancy. Not all women need to gain the same number of pounds. Pregnancy doesn’t mean gorging on whatever food that comes your way thus leading to mindless addition of pounds.

Weight gain pregnancy is natural and to be expected. Several things cause pregnancy weight. The actual weight of your baby, retained fluid, increased blood volume, and amniotic fluid are just some of the things that contribute to weight gain pregnancy.

On the other hand, if there is excess weight gain pregnancy, you might increase the risk of diabetes. Several studies have revealed that more than average weight gain pregnancy leads to obesity in women after birth. So, watch those pounds sticking to your body!

You don’t really need to “eat for two,” and, in fact, too many calories can lead to unnecessary weight gain pregnancy. Pregnancy is an important time to eat smart, since the caloric requirement of pregnancy only increases by about 300 calories per day.

Pregnancy is a major life event that is characterized by dramatic physiologic changes and, especially, rapid weight gain pregnancy, which has implication for women’s health and fetal outcomes.

A wide range of weight gain pregnancy is compatible with healthy babies. Weight gain pregnancy averages 25 to 35 pounds, with first-time moms gaining an average of 27 pounds. Weight gain will vary, depending on the mother’s pre-pregnancy weight.

Weight gain pregnancy doesn’t have to mean that you’ll never get back to your pre-pregnancy weight. Allow yourself some treat and give in to a few of your cravings, but commit to eating nutrient-packed foods daily to allow for healthy, slow and steady weight gain pregnancy.

This often means 2 to 4 pounds a month until birth. If you began your pregnancy underweight, you may need to boost your caloric intake by 300 to 500 calories a day.
